At Ultimate Linings, we’re committed to keeping our customers ahead of the curve with the latest innovations in spray technology. That’s why we’re thrilled to share some fantastic news from Graco: the Fusion FX spray gun is now officially compatible with polyurea applications.
If you’re already familiar with the Fusion FX gun from our previous feature article, you’ll know it’s recognized as Graco’s smallest, lightest, and best-balanced spray gun ever built. Originally launched for spray foam, this next-generation spray gun is now expanding its reach—and its impact.

What’s New for Polyurea?
The only structural difference between the spray foam and polyurea versions of the Fusion FX lies in the mix chamber seal. Graco has engineered a transparent seal for polyurea use, specially designed to withstand higher temperatures (150°F and above) and deliver greater longevity. In contrast, spray foam chambers continue to use a blue seal optimized for their own application requirements.
Seal & Chamber Breakdown:

- Blue Seal: For spray foam mix chambers
Installation Enhancements
Due to the tougher material used in the transparent seals, Graco has introduced a revised installation process. A new installation tool is now included with each FX gun and with every 10-pack of high-temp seals. To help you get started quickly and easily, Graco has released an installation video, which is available to view here.
New Components Now Available
- All flat mix chamber sizes: 20, 29, 42, and 52
- New flat tip air cap: Compatible with Fusion AP and PC gun tips
These additions allow users greater flexibility and performance options when working with polyurea materials.
Why This Matters for Ultimate Linings Customers
Whether you’re in protective coatings, bed liners, or industrial applications, this update means more versatility and reliability when using the Fusion FX system. You can now count on the same lightweight, ergonomic design for high-temp polyurea work, all while enjoying improved component life and application consistency.
